I've always equated blogging to desperate attention seeking. Sort of like fishing for complements on a world-wide scale. For many reasons I never "condescended" to blog. For all I cared, let the faceless, blogging masses sate the Internet's hunger for inconsequential drivel and useless gossip.
Well, let me introduce you to my hypocritical self: Hypocritical self, Internet. Internet, meet my hypocritical self.
@Beginnings
I've worked professionally as a Software Developer (notice my seriousness by the capitalizations) for 2 years. Amazing, I know. Self-deprecating sarcasm aside, I've been fortunate to work with enough brilliant minds during my brief career to acquire a taste for elegantly decomposed solutions. That isn't to say that there aren't times when I've just written code to get it to just work. But, when you've seen how good it can be, you don't welcome regression in quality and are inspired towards crude attempts at mental imitation.
At least, that has been my response.
Back to the name.
@BigFinish
Breaking Encapsulation is my attempt at intelligent humor. Read: attempt. Maybe even praise the spirit of the intent of the joke if you aren't inclined to reward it with laugh. I'm trying to offer this space as a forum for me to share my successes and failures so that I can help pass on packets of information that might help you in your struggles. Trust me, it will be heavy on the side of my failures of trying to get stuff to work. Don't worry, though. They'll always have a happy ending.
So, please feel free to come back and join me in re-living painful examples of me setting out with the best intentions (beautiful design), making a mess of the whole deal (breaking the object's encapsulation), but ultimately figuring out how to do it the right way and sharing it with you all (breaking my encapsulation).
